Louis Shriber (b. 2002) is a New England-based conductor, composer, director, and singer. He is currently concluding a Bachelor degree in Music Composition and Jazz Performance at the University of Rhode Island, where he studies and performs with world-renowned faculty such as Zaccai Curtis, Mark Conley, Dr. Emmett Goods, and Atla DeChamplain. He serves as the Music Director of the Rhody Rhapsodies, URI's premier acapella group. For 2 years, he also served as the Assistant Music Director of the Narragansett Bay Chorus, Rhode Island's largest barbershop choir.
As a versatile artist, Louis performs various music genres including jazz, classical, new music, musical theater, and pop. In addition to his ensemble work, Louis performs as a solo artist around New England, most recently, he hosted and performed as a guest artist for the 2024 Quarterfinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in Hartford, CT.
As a composer and arranger, his works have been performed and premiered by a large variety of ensembles across New England, including his choral work “How Can I Learn to Love” been featured at the first Arlington Choral Festival in 2023. His vocal arrangements can be heard in performances throughout the greater Rhode Island region, including Cruella De Vil, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Make You Feel My Love and many others. He currently resides in Arlington, MA and is looking forward to continuing his advanced studies in the field of choral conducting.
